The Clue! takes you to London in 1953 as Matt Stuvysunt, a young man of no respectable profession or income, who aspires to steal the Crown Jewels. This is primarily an adventure game, but instead of looking for clues to solve puzzles, you will recruit people of questionable backgrounds in your gang, plan, organize and carry out robberies and burglaries of ever higher-profile targets, culminating with the coveted Crown Jewels.
Developer NEO Software Productions released this game as freeware in 2000 along with the source code, and now a fan-made source port is available for modern systems (please see the links section below).
