Spielbeschreibung

The New Dash Dimension is an unlicensed Boulder Dash fangame that closely recreates the original playing mechanics, but updates the visuals and brings in new, completely different levels.

You control a small guy in a Where's Wally-looking striped jumper who explores caves filled with diamonds, boulders and hostile monsters. The objective of each level is to collect a set amount of diamonds and reach the exit before the countdown timer reaches zero. As the game progresses, the levels become more puzzle-like as you need to plan ahead, trick monsters into doing the right thing while not harming you, and constantly mind the threat of being crushed by a falling boulder or a precious stone.

Despite not having an official Boulder Dash license, author Marek Roth initially sold the game as shareware, but on 15 December 2000 he released the full registered version as freeware for all to download, including tools to create your own levels.
