Spielbeschreibung
In spite of the rather crass double entendre in the title, My Balls Have Dropped is actually a very decent Bust-a-Move/Puzzle Bobble clone for one or two players. A freeware game by an amateur programmer, it is visibly quite unpolished in its presentation (using borrowed graphics and MS Paint doodles for the background), yet it offers surprisingly slick gameplay, smooth animations and even some nice sound effects.
For those not familiar with how Bust-a-Move works, the player controls a cannon at the bottom of the screen that shoots differently-coloured balls. Your objective is to arrange at least three balls of the same colour together so that they are cleared from the playing field. Usually, each level starts with a pattern of balls occupying most of the screen, so you need to carefully consider every shot. Every dozen shots or so, the "ceiling" to which the balls are ultimately attached will lower down a notch, and should any of the balls eventually touch the bottom of the screen, it's game over. The objective in each level is to clear all the balls from the playing field before this happens.
The game was written in C using the Allegro library.
