Spielbeschreibung

Action SuperCross is a very original game that combines arcade and puzzle elements in the guise of a motorbike stunt racing simulation. The player controls a bike rider who travels across pretty abstract locations viewed from the side, and needs to first collect fruit and then touch the flower to complete each level.

The faster you do so, the better, but this is by no means a racing game in the sense of moving at lightning speeds across the tracks. Instead, you will need to carefully watch your balance and navigate uneven terrain and other obstacles so that the player character does not fall. There is a fairly complex (but not overly realistic) physics model that dictates how the bike will move depending on the surrounding conditions. Apart from being able to accelerate or brake, you can change the bike's orientation in mid-flight, which will help greatly to do the stunt moves required to complete the levels. The keyboard controls need some getting used to, but once you feel alright with the game, it becomes rather enjoyable.

Action SuperCross was distributed as shareware, and later was reworked into a more advanced version called Elasto Mania, which is still available for purchase (but not for DOS).
